If you are experiencing difficulty with your GG/AS swing gate opener working properly, you can perform the loop jump test outlined below to troubleshoot the issue. Once completed, please reach out to our Technical Support team by emailing us at hello@alekoproducts.com and let us know the outcome of the test.

If it appears that your exit wand is not communicating with your circuit board, here is a test to confirm that your control board (with adapter board) can receive and process a mock signal from the want.

To perform this test you will need the following:

  • One small length of jumper wire (18-22 AWG)
  • Small electrician's screwdriver
First, ensure that your gate is in the closed position. Remove the two wires in the loop terminals, located at the top of the circuit board. Refer to the photos to guide you through the process.

You will now short these two terminals with the jumper wire for 2 to 3 seconds, and you should hear a relay fire when the signal is sent. If the gate circuit board and adapter board are working properly, the gate will open fully and will close after the auto-close timer counts down to close.
